  1. I just read an article about mouse (computing). It’s not animal but a mechanical mouse which common used in computer. In computing, a mouse is a pointing device. The term ‘mouse’ as pointing device is known in Bill English’s 1965. There are many types of mice, such as infrared optical mice, laser mice, glass laser mice, 3D mice and so on. A mouse is a device that a user manipulates and input information into a computer. By moving over to its supporting surface, users can control an on screen pointer to move and select options. The basic characteristics of a mouse are : a flat-bottomed plastic housing, rubber coated ball inside the housing, detection device to detect the motion of plastic ball, buttons, and a cable that connect a mouse to the computer. Before reading this article, I only know how to use a mouse. Now, I realize that there are many kind of mouse used in this world for different uses.
Many scientific words used in this article, so I am not very well understand it even though I try to search the meaning of it in internet. Most of the sentences were in passive form and write in present tense.

  2. Littering
Every day, we throw away millions of tonnes of rubbish. An even worse problem is caused by littering by us. For example, tonnes of rubbish are thrown onto the roads out of car windows or by passing pedestrians. Litter is found everywhere these days.

Littering is a serious problem which every nation has to face. In most countries littering is illegal but their police forces are kept too busy with criminals to deal with the problem of littering. Our neighbour country, Singapura is a good example of that. The local government should carry out anti-littering campaigns designed to educate the public about this problem. They should also consider taking serious actions against those who litter. For example, making them perform community service like cleaning up public places.

The time has also come for our authorities to start taking serious action against people who litter in public places. Stricter laws should be considered. Various clubs and charities should also organise clean-up activities or anti-litter walks. Yet, the public need to be educated. It is important that primary school children and teenagers be taught about the ill effects of litters as these lessons will last through life. Remember that thoughtless children become thoughtless adults.

There would be less litter if food products were not packaged with so much wrapping. Finally, there would be less litter if people preferred products with less packaging.

  3. An article that I read is about laptop. Laptop is a personal computer designed for mobile use. Component of laptop include screen, a keyboard, touchpad, speakers, a battery. Shape of laptop is like a large notebook with thickness between 0.7-1.5 inches (18-38mm) and dimensions ranging from 10x8 inches (27x22cm, 13’’display) to 15x 11 inches (39x28cm, 17’’display) and up. Older laptops are usually heavier than modern laptops. Laptops are suitable for military, Internal Revenue Service, accountants, students, and sale representatives. Today, there are more laptops than desktops in business.

This article that I read is quite easy to understand because almost every sentence is not long. However, it has a lot of paragraphs. Besides that, it also has vocabulary that I do not understand such as obligatory, and niche.

  7. http://www.engadget.com/2008/11/19/blackberry-storm-review/
This url contains a review on the BlackBerry Storm.

The BlackBerry Storm smartphone was created as a competitor to the iPhone. Though it boasts the same features as its competitor and more, the writer wonders if it really is all that. Overall, the physical construction was higher in quality compared to its company, RIM’s previous designs, though there was a minor leak in light through the sides of the screen. Its screen, which does not just have the touch screen ability - it is also clickable like a mouse, fails to impress the writer. For one thing, its software is not custom-made for touch screens, reducing its sensitivity. Typing on the screen was slow and difficult without a good enough word predictor. In the end, the screen’s contrast and colour was its sole redeeming quality. Going through the software, its spruced-up new look lagged the scrolling speed and there were a few bugs present, but the browser has been improved slightly from the previous model. The Storm is not able to use third-party software that utilises the touch screen. Video playback was smooth, and its large screen allows artwork to be displayed clearly. The software features included in the Storm covered the basics, save for syncing with Mac software, like iTunes. The sound quality and reception of this phone was exceptionally good, even making downloading a pleasant task. The Storm can take photos (albeit very slow) and make videos, has GPS, and its battery life is quite good. The writer concludes by saying that the Storm has some good ideas, but needs more effort in the design and usability.
The language used was slightly advanced. The vocabulary used described the phone wonderfully, but a good command of English is needed to go through this article easily.

  8. PlayStation 2, or is well known as PS2 is a sixth-generation video game console made by Sony. Before the invention of PS2, Sony manufactured PlayStation and now PS2 is succeeded by PlayStation 3. The development of PS2 starts on March 1999 and was launched a year later in its native land, Japan. PlayStation 2’s main rivals are Microsoft’s Xbox, Nintendo GameCube and Sega’s DreamCast. Despite the strong competition, PS2 maintained the strongest to be able to become the fastest game console shipped to other countries. The PlayStation 2 can read both CDs and DVDs thus it is backward compatible with PlayStation games and supports PlayStation memory cards. Some PS2 games can support online multiplayer through network adapter purchased from stores. Not only that, PS2 could be used as personal computer as it had the Linux program by Sony.
This article is very hard to understand because they used technical term to describe their product. The example of technical term like "consoles" and etc.

  10. About RAM..

There are two different types of RAM:DRAM(Dynamic Random Access Memory) and SRAM(Static Random Access Memory). In terms of speed, SRAM is faster. DRAM needs to be refreshed thousands of times per second while SRAM does not need to be refreshed, which is what makes it faster than DRAM. DRAM supports access times of about 60 nanoseconds, SRAM can give access times as low as 10 nanoseconds. Despite SRAM being faster, it's not as commonly used as DRAM because it's so much more expensive. Both types of RAM are volatile, meaning that they lose their contents when the power is turned off.

In common usage, the term RAM is synonymous with main memory, the memory available to programs. For example, a computer with 8MB RAM has approximately 8 million bytes of memory that programs can use.To be precise, therefore, RAM should be referred to as read/write RAM and ROM as read-only RAM.

The word use is advanced.I can understand overall of this article. This article also make me really understand about RAM than what i learn from text book.

  11. Recently i have play a new game named "resident Evil 5",that is a really perfect game.Resident Evil, known in Japan as Biohazard is a video game series and media franchise consisting of comic books, novelizations, films, and a variety of collectibles, including action figures, strategy guides and publications.Developed by Capcom and created by Shinji Mikami, Resident evil 5 was released on March 5, 2009 in Japan and on March 13, 2009 in North America and Europe for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the series has sold almost 40 million games as of May, 2009.Within its first three weeks of release, the game sold over 2 million units worldwide and became the best-selling game of the franchise in the United Kingdom.

Resident Evil 5 revolves around Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar as they investigate a terrorist threat in Kijuju, a fictional town in Africa.Resident Evil 5 features similar gameplay to Resident Evil 4, with context-sensitive controls and dynamic cut scenes also making a return.

The player can control Chris Redfield or Sheva Alomar in a similar fashion to Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil 4, with the same over-the-shoulder perspective. The number of weapon variations has been greatly increased compared to the previous games in the series; there are now several varieties of the handgun, shotgun, submachine gun and rifle to choose from. Unlike inventory systems in previous Resident Evil titles, the player can only equip weapons and items in the midst of gameplay, as opposed to accessing an inventory menu by pausing the game.
If not wrong, this is the last series of resident evil.i played resident evil since from 3rd series, even thought resident evil 5 is not much horible when compare with previous series, but the graphic and the gameplay system i really satisfy.

  12. An article that i read is about the wireless communication.Wireless communication is the transfer of information over a distance without the use of any electrical conductors or 'wires'.
The term "wireless" has become a generic and all-encompassing word used to describe communications in which electromagnetic waves or RF carry a signal over part or the entire communication path.
The distance involved may be short as a few meters as in television remote control or long as thousands or millions of kilometers for radio communications.
It encompasses various types of fixed, mobile, and portable two-way radios, cellular telephones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), and wireless networking.

The languege used is quite easy and simple to understand. The information is clear.

  17. ANTS

Ants have been living on the Earth for more than 100 million years. It is estimated that there are about 20,000 different species of ants.

Ants build many different types of homes. Many ants build simple little mounds out of dirt or sand. Western Harvester ants make a small mound on top, but then tunnel up to 15 feet straight down to hibernate during winter. Ant mounds consist of many chambers connected by tunnels. Different chambers are used for nurseries, food storage, and resting places for the worker ants. Some ants live in wood like termites. Army ants don't make a home at all but travel in large groups searching for food.

Ants communicate by touching each other with their antennae. Ants also use chemicals called pheromones to leave scent trails for other ants to follow.

  18. Cyber espionage

I've recently encouner an article about cyber espionage or could also be known as cyber spying. According to the article, cyber espionage is define as an act or practice of obtaining secret or private data without knowledge or permission of the owner.

Mostly associated program or declared as virus that are known to be able to spy on other computer are Trojan horses and spyware.

These program, if not detected by the antivirus or antispyware software, could run in secret or 'invinsible' in one's computer.

What amazing about this cyber espionage is that the person who created that program, if he/she are talented or capable enough, can control other people computer that have his or her software running in it.

As a conclusion, always have your firewall turned on and update your antivirus database regularly.

If you think you'll lose, you've lost,
For out in the world you'll find,
Success begins with a fellow's will,
It's all in the state of mind.

If you think you are outclassed, you are,

You've got to be sure of yourself before
